And "The Promised Land"?
Anyway, mom got this new Bible, and it's purple and all velvety and has shiny pages and I was petting it and decided to snoop through it and yadda yadda and I was poking around and stuff, and near as I can tell "The land of milk and honey" is Canaan.
There was a Winnie the Pooh episode about the land of milk and honey and I keep thinking of that and it's funny for some reason.
Anyway, yeah, I was sure the land of Canaan was important for some reason and I was trying to figure out why and as near as I can tell it's the Promised Land and everybody was fighting over it.
Something about God said, "This is the land that was promised to you, go live there." And they went and killed everyone and moved in. O.0;;;; Um... I don't... know.
But THEN there was something about Noah, after he got done floating around on the boat and found land and whatever, he had a son named Ham who had a son named Canaan. And I was like well now wait a minute, Canaan is a person too!?
And then Canaan had a son named... something. Seidon or something, anyway 4 verses later they both turned out to be places again so I guess thats where the names came from... or something.
And then there was something about Noah (the guy with the ark and the animals and stuff, you don't have to be religious to know that) got drunk and was laying around naked, and Canaan's dad saw him and went and told his brothers "Hey, dad's naked!" O.o! And Noah found out about it and got mad and cursed Canaan. And I have noooo idea wtf that was about. See this is why I don't read the Bible much, it doesn't make any sense. xD
I don't think Canaan the Guy got mentioned much after that so I think it's safe to say that Xenosaga was referring to the Promised Land, not the guy whose dad saw Noah naked. >_>;
...anyway! In other pointless news, I'm going to move Blackberry Elixirs to my scraps sometime next week probably, not sure exactly when, if DA will let me do that. If they still don't allow text to be in a category other than literature, then I'll just delete them.

Wait...what the hell did I just do?!
I thought Xenosaga was going to be a science-fiction thing, but it has a lot of religious-related stuff in it. Some of it they just made up, and then some of it actually came from the Bible. I think I would have liked it better if it had just been a sci-fi thing, even though I prefer fantasy.

So he said to them, "Why do you do such things? I hear from all the people about these wicked deeds of yours. 24 No, my sons; it is not a good report that I hear spreading among the LORD's people. 25 If a man sins against another man, God [e] may mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?" His sons, however, did not listen to their father's rebuke, for it was the LORD's will to put them to death.
And I'm like,
So yeah, God's a wierd dude.
